Marcia and Jim Go To Hawaii

Jim and Marcia got invitations to do some cool stuff on Oahu. With an assist from Frommer's guide we found the best ever, cheap, '60s pre-meeting Mom and Pop hotel on Waikiki. The fridge was stocked with pineapple.

We bought a city bus pass that even takes folks through mountains and circumference of Oahu (Route 52). Saw surfer girls at Waimea Bay, drooled over pineapple plantations, climbed Diamond Head, cooled off with shave ice at Haleiwa (you too try li hing mui flavor with sweet adzuki (Japanese) beans), said "Thanks" to some resting bones in Punchbowl Crater National Cemetary of the Pacific (WWII, Korea, and RVN), and ended at the emerald, snorkeling waters of Hanauma Bay.

The gig took us to orchid and tropical foliage shippers.

Our last sunrise at the Kahala work-site brought dreams of friends and kin visiting us in our retirement hut on Oahu. Aloha!!
